Last Hoorah in Zhengzhou...Museum

Today was our last full day in Zhengzhou, and we spent the morning at the Henan Provincial Museum.  We actually had a hard time seeing any of the exhibits because we felt like WE were one of the exhibits...particularly Mary Helen for some reason.  People hugged her, talked to her, and even photographed her.  For me, I'll admit, it was just plain uncomfortable.  The girls and Kenny had a very long nap after we returned, and we picked up our notarized paperwork.

Maggie is doing much better, but we're finding that when it's time for bed, that's when she really grieves.  She cries and screams whenever it's time to lie down.  I'm sure that's when she misses what's familiar to her the most.  We finally realized tonight that the only thing she has left of what she's known as home is her pacifier.  It's old, tied on a rope, and quite honestly, it's yucky.  But she truly needs it right now.  During playtime, though, she is opening up more and more.  She and Mary Helen hid together in the closet today, squealing and giggling, and she started rattling off words and phrases that we don't understand at all!  It was so cute.

And by the way, the only thing we've put in front of her that she wouldn't eat so far is oatmeal.  Everything else was welcomed with open mouth!!
